Sunflower Fairy - WIP

I've been a stitching fool this long weekend...made great progress on the Sunflower Fairy by Nora Corbett.  I am hoping to have it completed within the next couple weeks.  I am going to get out all my UFO's so that I can start stitching away on these; I promised myself that I had to complete one UFO before I could buy anything else sewing related (I don't think I have that discipline...lol).  I will post pictures of my UFO's shortly.

Disney...here we come!!

I got to tell my nieces tonight that I'm taking them to Disney World this Friday...kids are the best.  One started crying with happiness and the other asked if we knew that there was a backdoor to get in.  We are going with my Aunt.  My Aunt and I went together several times when we where little, it is a thrill to be able to take my nieces.  The only thing better is if my sister (their Mom) could join us for the day.  Pictures will be posted after the trip.

Thanksgiving Apron

I embroidered a Piligram and Pilgramette onto a half apron for my Aunt as a 'Thank You' for hosting Thanksgiving.  The pattern was from the November 2010 Cross-Stitch & Needlework magazine (pgs 17 -18).  I purchased the apron from Sublime Stitching; http://sublimestitching.com/halfapron. It was a quick and easy project and well worth the time spent. 

The picture is a little bit dark, I had a hard time getting the apron to lay flat while keeping the stitching in close view.
